Where GaGa goes others will follow and her latest video has health experts worried. Not because of the amount of peroxide she wears, or her scantily clad poses, but her oversized cartoon like pupils that give her a strangely Manga innocent air. Her eyes were digitally enhanced but there is a growing trend for specially created contact lenses designed to give the eye the same effect. Called Circle lenses they work by covering not just the pupil but part of the white of the eye.
Circle lenses have already achieved popularity in Japan and Korea where women try to look like anime charcaters, but there are fears this trend wil now get widespread appeal. Why is it so bad?

Alex Curran may be the darling of 2010, but she hasn't always had the best taste in style or beauty. We've decided to forgive her the youthful errors of her early career days, but really can't forgive this picture snapped of her in 2007. Alex is clearly tying to emulate the groomed preppy look, but fails so spectacularly that we're going to bullet point all the flaws.

Last week, we talked about our experiences of bad reactions to ingredients in beauty products. It's a scary subject, and one that has certainly made me wary of using new products with additives I haven't already tried.
Unsure of the best approach needed to avoid these problems in future, I decided to seek advice from Paula Begoun, one of the world's leading experts on cosmetic ingredients and their effects on our skins. Paula is an independent expert with extensive knowledge of the beauty industry, and author of Don't Go to the Cosmetics Counter Without Me; an extensive compilation of myth-busting skincare facts that every beauty junkie to know.
I threw some questions at Paula based on my concerns and on those of others who've had bad experiences with cosmetics. Read on over the jump for her advice!

The old adage 'if it's to good to true it probably is', has existed for a long time, yet still people keep hoping they'll be the one who gets lucky. In the cases of the lottery a very very few people manage to beat the odds, and occasionally on eBay you get a bargain due to someone misspelling their product. But when you see a Chloe bag selling for £50 you should smell a rat, and equally suspicion should kick in when you see GHD's selling for half their in store price point. But it's not always easy to tell that the company is fake, as many of the websites look very professional, have all the right logos and have a .co.uk URL!
Type 'Cheap GHD's' into Google and literally hundreds of sites come up promising you everything from limited edition models in multiple colours, to buying a model for the low price of £40 odd quid- around 60% cheaper!
So how do you spot a fake before you buy, and how can you double check your straightener is the real deal?

We can't all claim to be expert stylists when it comes to our daily makeup routine and I know I'm certianly still learning the ropes - even decades after I first 'borrowed' my mother's Mary Quant blusher.
But sometimes you do spot a crime against cosmetics so dire that it's hard not to go right up to the culprit and volunteer a bit of free styling advice. I wouldn't try it: it generally doesn't go down too well. But to get our pet hates out in the open I'm asking Kiss & Makeup readers to submit their worst beauty errors to the site today so we can all have a collective cringe.
If there's a beauty error you particularly hate, let me know in comments below or tweet them to @kissandmakeup on Twitter and read on for the errors we've already identified.

You know those offers you get accosted with on the street? The ones where you're promised a 'top name' salon day out for a ridiculously low price that includes a makeover and hairstyle? Hopefully you've stayed away from those scams, but you may have fallen into the other trap- the lure of a free photoshoot with one 'lovely free print for you to take home'.
I was given a voucher to their 'flagship Farringdon branch' and like the fool I was I thought I'd go along for a day of pampering. I was prepared that there would be a bit of a hard sell when it came to choosing my free photo but I'd never expected anything like what occurred. The finished photos may look stunning but the tale behind them is that of sweat, money and six months of angry negotiating.

The MOBO awards took place last night, and Leona Lewis and Estelle were the women to watch out for. I can't say the same of their beauty though, as Leona DIDN'T turn up, and Estelle has some rather unattractive flaps of skin on show. So who won the MOBO beauty awards, and who joined the likes of Mel B in the beauty blooper corner?
