I'm the first to admit that Elemis' pro-collagen treatments and body lotions are the bees knees, and that they brand is responsible for some of the finest skincare products I've tried. But I'd also argue that the bottles of Elemis cream I have in my home are perfectly happy living wherever I leave them: usually on my desk by the trusty PC or hidden in the bathroom cabinet.
That's not so for everyone though, it seems, as Elemis are selling display stands for their potions and lotions in the form of this 'oak stand', designed with just the right proportions for one of their tubs to sit in it. I suppose it's a bit like a particularly posh soap dish, and it would certainly look the part in a spa. I don't think I'll be bothering to furnish my own home with one, somehow, but if you now feel a pressing need - you can buy one for £25 at Time to Spa.
So, chances are you don't do your makeup in front of your laptop, though I'll bet bloggers are more prone to it than most. All those handy beauty tutorials on Stila's Web site are hard to remember once you're actually in front of the mirror, right? Fret no more!
Stila has introduced The Makeup Player, $69.95. You just download the tutorials onto your mobile device and plug it into the makeup player, which is like a makeup case with a mirror and everything. The player comes with the products you'll need for the first few tutorials, and you can download new tutorials as they become available.
This really sounds like the way of the future for tech-savvy beauty fans, and Stila's found a way to capitalize on users downloading their free tutorials. Plus, you're really only paying as much as you would for a few Stila products anyway. Seems like a win-win.
In an economy where you might not be dropping hundreds of dollars on hairstyling tools for yourself (or even if you are) Christmas is a great time to ask for the pricier items in your beauty arsenal. FHI Heat realizes this and are offering their Technique 1" Styling Iron and Nano Weight Pro 1900 Blow Dryer in a combo pack for the holidays.
I use both of these products, and love, love, love the straightening iron in particular. If you're questioning the regular $120 price tag, I will say that this styler is definitely 10 times better than anything you're going to get at the drug store for $30. And if you buy the combo pack, you'll get the Technique Styling Iron and the $195 Blow Dryer for $199. It's almost like buying the hair dryer and getting the styling iron for free. My highest praise for the hair dryer, which I also use, is that it really is noticably lighter than any other hair dryer I've used. I have very thick hair that takes a long time to dry, and my arm never gets tired using this. These are truly salon-quality tools and if you're using cheaper stuff, you'll notice a difference.
Soap & Glory have just launched their new line of tools and accessories to help you create a salon-buffed body from the credit-comfort of your own bathroom.
With eleven fantastic items all travel-friendly and in S&G's own signature retro styling we are quite impressed with these beautifiers. Everything is under £10 so they're all guilt-free treats and make great gifts too.
From shower puffs to nail and back brushes they've got everything covered and are the ideal tools to help you indulge in a little 'me time'. Not that we need an excuse to pamper ourselves!
There's something about cherries that makes me think of Katy Perry and ice lollies, and this bag is Bettie-Boop tastic with its cute design and wipe free material. I really like the attached mirror, as it means you'll be able to touch up on the go, and the bag looks roomy enough to contain my daily assortment of eyeliners and mascaras (yes, all on the same day). It's £12.99 from River Island.
Celia Birtwell is known as one of the most iconic British fabric designers, but did you realize she also did affordable accessory bags as well? I'm so enamoured by this darling makeup bag, £7.83 from Boots, and think the red piping and trim are incredibly sweet.
