Cute Makeup bag of the week: Harakajuku Lover's Anatomy of a Girl

1338_anatomy_of_a_girl_l.jpgPerhaps it's the fact that I have a very similar version of this bag tat makes me like it but there's no denying it's uber cute. In fact, it's so nice ( and only $29.99 from Harajuku Lovers) that I couldn't really pick a favourite. Do I want this kawaii style bag in this stylish grey print (left) or in the Teachers pet style? I can't decide. Which would you choose?

Product Review: Beauty Blender sponge

beautyblender.jpg

This strange looking pink sponge was spotted backstage at many catwalk shows this year, so I thought it would be worth having a go. I was dubious about paying $19.95 for a piece of sponge, even if it does come with a handy holder and cleanser, but was it worth it? Well, yes and no.

It's a nicely absorbent piece of material that is great for blending and contouring, and the egg shaped design means you can use it for smudging concealer as well as foundation. It's latex free which is a plus and provides a really nice finish, but it's not that different to a £2.99 sponge from Superdrug.

Keep you nails chip free with the Nail protecting clip

nail varnish clip.jpg

This is either a really, really smart invention or a REALLY stupid one. I can't quite decide to be honest. It's basically a selection of clips that you use to cover your nails while they're drying to prevent smudging. And yes, you will be paying $12.50 for that pleasure. If you're a terrible fidgeter and never have your nails dry chip free it might be good for you, otherwise it seems like a waste of money to me.

Would you like to shower Carrie- style?

shwoer cutain.jpg

In case you were wondering I mean Carrie of chicken blood fame, not our favourite SATC girl. I don't know if either would endear you to this rather gruesome looking shower curtain, but hey it would add an element of Halloween chic to your bathroom- it is that time of year after all. I'm not sure a 'blood spattered design that will leave your guests screaming' is what I'm going for, but I know my eleven year old brother would find this fab. It's £9.99 from IWOOT, and would be a great party prop.

Cute Makeup bag of the week: Mermaids makeup bag

mermaid bag.jpg

This weeks makeup bag takes me on a trip down memory lane, to when I played my Little Mermaid VHS tape so much that it got all grainy and Ariel's hair turned a strange shade of orange. I've always loved mermaids as they signify all the things I aspire too, freedom, adventure, and a great head of hair! This cute bag, £9.99 from Amazon is very sweet and has a useful PVC exterior (read: easy to clean), and a zip with a seashell closure.

Cute Makeup bag of the week: The Pants Purse from IWOOT

pants purss.jpg

This weeks makeup bag thinks it's a purse, but I think it's roomy enough to carry your every day essentials. It's designed to look like a comfy pair of Y fronts and has three different designs. You can opt for rainbows, hearts or cherries and the bag is so cheap that you could get all three! I think it's a quirky alternative to stashing your stuff in a big branded bag and will easily hold your lippies and powder for touch ups.It costs £6.95 from IWOOT, and I think I'm going to go with the rainbow version...
