First off I want to admit that I don't struggle that much with large pores. Well, at least I think I didn't till I tried this product. It's not that my skin worsesned after use, rather that my nose area seemed so much smoother that made me wonder why I'd never tried a pore product before.

I'm a big fan of Airbrush makeup as every time I have it done (mainly when I'm making TV appearances) my skin takes on a luminescent flawless glow. A couple of quick spritzes and my skin becomes smooth and peachy looking, and all I need to do is add some blush and blend the edges slightly.

I'm a big fan of Benefit products so the news that there would soon be two new additions to the range filled me with glee. One is the delightfully named 'Bathtina, Take a Picture... it lasts longer', and one is a kit entitled 'Confessions of a Concealaholic'.

My addiction to American TV shows and general overuse of coffee has lead to many nights of insomnia and awaking with dark unattractive bags under my eyes. Looking like Britney Spears on a comedown is not my idea of attractiveness, so the search for a hide-all concealer was on. I may have found the solution in the latest addition to Bobbi Brown's Makeup FaceLift range. I'm a big fan of Bobbi's products as I find them really gentle on the skin, and her Shimmer Brick is always a makeup bag staple.
I've been trialling the Bobbi Brown Eye Brightener, a pocket sized pen that dispenses a creamy liquid that aims to disguise bags and circles.

There's a big trend for putting ingredients we normally put in our mouths into our cosmetic products, and the thinking behind Garnier's Caffeine-infused tinted concealer is that it wakes up and refreshes your eyes in much the same way that a nice strong cup of coffee revives you in the morning.
If your eyes tend to be a problem area and you're prone to late nights, getting hold of this product will certainly work in your favour. I found it dealt quite well with the slight hyperpigmentation I have underneath my eyes, and instead of just masking the skin, seemed to even out the tone pretty nicely. Not bad for such an affordable concealer.

A concealer that hides and heals is nothing new, but I'm still surprised at how few products are available that perform both duties. I don't like the feeling of slapping something on that simply masks, particularly on broken or rough skin, so was happy to give the Witch Hazel concealer from Witch at try.

1. Bare Escentuals Mineral Foundation (£24) & Mineral Veil (£21)
Call me predictable, but Bare Escentuals gets my vote in the mineral foundation stakes. I've tried loads of other brands and though some come very close, this is the one that I return to every time. I like the level of coverage and the light-reflecting finish you get, and I think the mineral veil is a fantastic product for finishing the look. Most importantly, they do a fair shade that's not too orangey, which is perfect for my winter skin. I must also give a 'highly commended' to Laura Gellar's Balance n Brighten face powder, which I keep in my handbag for touch-ups. It only loses out because it contains talc which can be comedogenic.
