I'll have what she's having: Ariane Poole Under Eye & Face Brightener

Ariane_poole Renowned celebrity makeup artist Ariane Poole is too discrete to say exactly which celebrities covet this Under Eye and Face Brightener (£18), but she will say that it's a big favourite with her celebrity clients. The ultimate makeover product, it's a combination of matte pink and lilac powder which revives the complexion and illuminates the skin.

Ariane says, ' After concealer, sweep the lilac shade under the eyes and brush along the cheekbones to brighten. Then swirl the pink and lilac together and dust lightly over the face to add instant radiance'.

Top 50 Beauty Products: No 7 Instant Radiance

No_7_2_2 This product rocks because it's almost up there with YSL Touche Eclat in terms of brightening, hiding and illuminating abilities, yet it's only half the price.

Buy it if you want to dark under eye circles to magically disappear with a click click of its wand brush. Just like its more expensive cousin, it covers black circles, hides those awful blotchy bits that appear round my nose, highlights my skin and generally makes it look a darn sight better than it did before I put it on. This is truly a magic wand.

Available from Boots for £11.50.

Nubian Beauty for women of colour

Nubian_beauty There are very few ranges available for Asian and darker skins, so although the Nubian Beauty range is rather small, little is better than nothing. The range consists of two blushers, five lipsticks and two two-toned concealers. Prices start from £14.99.

4V00 makeup for your man

4v00_makeup_men
Now some of 4V00's range of makeup for men I can just about - at a stretch - imagine men using. The Confidence Corrector concealer perhaps, or the Shine Reduction powder. There's others though, without sounding stereotypical, that only the vainest and gayest would touch - Shimmer tint adds sparkles for goodness sake, and Luminous Lips purports to provide a 'desirable wet gloss'. In other words, it's a lip gloss, and if you know a bloke who's going to spend £18.55 on a 'man' lip gloss, you may as well just lend him yours.

Here at Kiss and Makeup we love Max Factor, and this video is a look ahead to next summer, showing how Max Factor was used backstage at the Oscar De La Renta show with Pat McGrath. Sadly we won't get these new look Max Factor products over here for a while yet, but US readers can rush to the shops and buy immediately. Don't you just get all the luck?

Yay or Nay: YSL Touche Eclat

Touche_eclat With the exception of Sarah Jessica Parker's Lovely, you all pretty much panned celebrity scents. So onto the next money spinner, I've hardly hidden my love of YSL Touche Eclat. But what do you think? Beauty breakthrough or a good for nothing cash cow? Yay or Nay and why?
