The electric bite monitor makes sure you chew your food properly

kamikami_bite_01.jpg

We're all probably guilty of not chewing our food slowly as high pressure and lack of time means we wolf things down. This can lead to fun stuff like flatulence, bloating and weight gain as you're not aware you're full. I don't think I could bring myself to wear this electric bite count monitor though, as it looks like a medieval torture device. It hails from Japanand beeps every 30 bites, so you know you're eating at the correct speed, and every 1000 bites you get a melody. Well, extreme dieters might love it, but I'd have to pass.

Product Review: Neutrogena Wave

neutrogena-wave-cleanser.jpg

Looking a cross between something I'd feature in Shiny's naughty toys section and a strange massager the Wave is actually a battery operated face cleanser. The idea behind it is that the vibrations help clean away grime more thoroughly than your own scrubbing, and it's a good way to remove grease build up if you think fingers are germ ridden zones.

It's quite strange to use though as the feeling of it on the skin takes some getting used to. Before each use apply a fresh pad (it comes with a pack of 8) moisten with water and press into the end of the Wave. The pad clips in easily, so don't worry about if falling out and on contact with the skin starts lathering slightly. The pressure is odd but not uncomfortable and after every use you discard the old pad, so it's always 100% fresh.

Cosmetic fridge keeps your lippie lovely

idoci_cosmetic_fridge1.jpg

We all know that it's important to throw out your products when they're past their sell by date, as old makeup can lead to irritation, infection and worst of all.. acne! But how many of us actually do? With this cosmetic fridge from from Idoci we can't plead ignorance anymore. It's a rather stylish way to store your toiletries, as it's available in a multitude of colours, including a male friendly black. It stores cosmetics at 8-12 degrees and features movable shelves, an interior light and noise reducti just for fun. The front panel lets you set up calendars and timing, so you know just when you placed those special lippies inside it.

Would you use the Girl Tech Stylin Studio?

girltech stlin.jpg

I've never been a huge fan of makeover sites as I find they often produce rather strange colours and aren't very realistic. All that faffing around taking a picture of yourself with your hair tied back seems like a lot of effort to me, but considering this kit is currently half price I wonder if it would be worth having a try. And there's a camera integrated into the Styling Studio- score!

So how does this work? Upload a picture of yourself, and then adjust your hair and makeup via the touchpad. The most entertaining part is the fact that you can display your creations on your computer and then email them your final pics to your friends and entertain them with images of you with green hair.

Reflexology for the home with this massaging mat

foot-massage.jpg
It's been well documented how much I dislike feet, but seeing as I've recently given them an overhaul it may be time to start looking at keeping them in good shape. This funky mat, $79 from Kilikan mimics the Asian practise of reflexology. As you walk along the mat the different ridges will work out the tensions in your feet.
