THE ORGANIC PHARMACY - Cleopatra's Milk Bath

organicpharmacy.jpg

I had a pretty stressful set of events this evening and then all changed when I remembered sitting on the side was a pot of Cleopatra's Milk Bath by The Organic Pharmacy...hmmm I thought ...I need to relax for some me time and just the sight of the box pulled me towards my bathroom. I ran a hot bath opened the pot to smell the pure aroma of rose geranium, rose and ylang ylang. I placed two good sized scoops (which is also supplied so no mess) into the water and of course had to add one of the delightful rose petals.

I really needed something to take all my stresses away and this did the job. It is made with 100% organically produced ingredients free from preservatives, colourants, fragrances and petrochemicals. My skin is very sensitive so I have to always be able to trust a product and I must say that this product ticks all my boxes leaving skin smelling and feeling glorious. This little gem has made me feel totally uplifted I think as Mother's Day is just around the corner I will have to grab a couple of pots! love Lisax

Product Review: Bobbi Brown Tinted Eye Brightener

bobbi_brown_tinted_eye_brightener.jpg

My addiction to American TV shows and general overuse of coffee has lead to many nights of insomnia and awaking with dark unattractive bags under my eyes. Looking like Britney Spears on a comedown is not my idea of attractiveness, so the search for a hide-all concealer was on. I may have found the solution in the latest addition to Bobbi Brown's Makeup FaceLift range. I'm a big fan of Bobbi's products as I find them really gentle on the skin, and her Shimmer Brick is always a makeup bag staple.

I've been trialling the Bobbi Brown Eye Brightener, a pocket sized pen that dispenses a creamy liquid that aims to disguise bags and circles.

Les Bulles d'Agathe; the 'first opus of perfumed bubbles'

perfume bubbles.jpg

While lots of bubbles are scented, Maison Francis Kurkdjian is the first to create a high-end fragrance in the form of bubbles. Les Bulles d'Agathe translates to Agatha's Bubbles. Yes, we're talking childhood-obsession bubbles you blow with a wand out of soap. Except in this case, you're blowing them out of a perfume created by a master "nose" and inspired by the archives of Marie Antoinette.

The bubbles are $18 in the US at Bergdorf Goodman, and come in a rather boring looking bottle. I would have expected something a little more playful, but maybe they're trying to play up the serious side of the scent. Options include Cold Mint and Lumiere Noir, a spiced rose scent.

I guess to actually apply the perfume in a practical way you would just dab the wand on your wrist or neck. But the bubbles really can be blown, perhaps scenting a room? (And staining your walls?)

Alice in Wonderland is new makeup muse

alice-pj.jpg
The new Alice in Wonderland movie is having a huge impact on fashion, and the beauty biz is fast following suit with a whole range of limited edition products cropping up featuring girly, Alice-related motifs.

Some of these are just too cute to be true, and I'm dying to get my hands on a pretty, Paul and Joe lipstick in sheer orange. Yum yum!

Urban Decay are also taking inspiration from Alice, and have created this fantastical eyeshadow palate, which I spotted over at Bitch Wants Tea: the palate, which follows Alice's journey through the mushroom forest, will go on sale in March at £28.alice in wonderland 1.jpg

DKNY to launch limited edition Delicious Candy Apples Collection

DKNY-Delicious-Candy-Apples-Set.jpg

I'm a big fan of sweet sugary scents and the new combinations on offer promise so much more than Jordan-esque solutions of sticky vanilla and cream. DKNY is releasing three new fragrances for its spring line up, which fall into the field of tasty treats. The Delicious Candy Apples fragrances each represent a member of the confectionery family and sound like they'll be tasty as well as sweet smelling.

Creating a natural, neutral face with MAC's Warm and Cozy Collection

MAC warm and cozy.jpg

The MAC Warm & Cozy Collection is out now in the US and coming to the U.K. next month so I thought I'd give you a rundown of some of the products from the line I used to create a natural, neutral makeup look for everyday.

First I applied the two eye shadows: Chamomile, a creamy pale yellow I'd describe as vanilla, all over the lid up to the brow bone, and then Mulled Cider, a dark warm brown, in the crease with a countour brush, blending out a bit a the outer corners. This brown is very soft and muted, with something of a gray base, I'd say. I used my usual Diorshow mascara to finish off my eyes. This look is subtle and conservative, perfect for the office.

The line contains two Mineralize Skinfinishes for cheeks, By Candlelight, a golden pink, and Comfort, a golden bronze. But I didn't receive them so I used my Stila Countouring Trio.

To read about the three fabulous lip products in the Warm & Cozy collection, keep reading.
