So, who's been treating themselves to some Dame Edna for MAC? The crazy collection in it's 'over the top mauve packaging' (their words, not ours) is now on sale at MAC stores and online, and is very tempting indeed. I love the idea of whipping out a spectacle-covered compact for a quick touch-up, and the names are fabulous (Varicose violet nail laquer, anyone?) but I am sad to discover the embellishment on the packaging is only a sticker.
Temptalia has some looks using the eyeshadows, and has also reviewed the products to clue us in. Maybe I'll wait for Hello Kitty after all...

It's that time of year again. rain, rain, more rain and a little bit of biting cold thrown in for good measure. Add to that late nights, an overindulgence of the fizzy stuff and it's no wonder your pout is looking more parched than Amy Winehouses's Girl Scout uniform. This strange looking pink sponge was spotted backstage at many catwalk shows this year, so I thought it would be worth having a go. I was dubious about paying $19.95 for a piece of sponge, even if it does come with a handy holder and cleanser, but was it worth it? Well, yes and no.
It's a nicely absorbent piece of material that is great for blending and contouring, and the egg shaped design means you can use it for smudging concealer as well as foundation. It's latex free which is a plus and provides a really nice finish, but it's not that different to a £2.99 sponge from Superdrug.
