Considering it has barely turned August I don't want to sound to pre-emptive, but my love for Sleek MakeUp's recent palette release just can't be denied. Featuring 12 stunning shades, this palette has quickly become an essential in my makeup bag and on my dressers, and as the price is so low, I'm able to have one for each. The colours will not be to everyone's tastes as they are all bright and densely pigmented, so if you're a nude and taupe kind of girl you can click away now. Otherwise I think you'll be more than impressed with the colours and the consistency of this particular palette.

I don't know which is more fun, glitter in your makeup or glitter on your makeup - the packaging, that is. Luckily, both come out in spades this time of year. If you need a good excuse to add some flecks of sparkle to your beauty routine - then holiday parties and especially New Year's Eve are it. Break out this Shu Uemura The Planet Cat Couture palette and everyone from your 10-year-old niece to your jet-setting BFF will ooh and ah. The kit is part of Tsumori Chisato's limited-edition collection for the brand, and includes three eye shadows, a cream liner, blush and highlighter. The colors are sort of glam neutrals with a heavy dose of sparkle throughout. Watch a behind-the-scenes video about the collection here. Check it out at Barney's in the states or Harvey Nichols in the U.K.

Everyone has endured that awful moment when they realize they're wearing the wrong shade of foundation. It may have looked great in the neon lights of the shop, but on the street they have to admit that they're looking rather Dale Winton. They may have resigned themselves to the fact that they'll make some bad shade choices, but help is at hand, with the fab new range Myface.cosmetics. It's created by world renown makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury (who can be found gracing the backstage rooms of many a fashion show). She's created the range to cater to all skin types, and has made it super easy to find your perfect match by categorizing the products into three sections- fair, medium and medium/dark.

We all feel the cold wind of recession at the moment, so doesn't this palette just brighten up your day? At £9.95 from Barry M it's considerably cheaper than others on the market, and the selection of shades are very pretty to look at. Plus, as it's Barry M, they're very highly pigmented, which means you need to use less to get a dramatic effect and you have nine fab shades to choose from.
Whether you're a flower princess or a sultry vamp there will be something in it for you, and they've included a double ended applicator and mirror so you can apply on the go.
